PITTSFIELD, MA – In what is becoming the most consistent season of his career, Paul Gilardi came home seventh in Saturday’s Modified feature at the Lebanon Valley Speedway. It was his third straight top 10 finish and fifth in the last seven races.

Gilardi took his Super Seamless Gutters, Autopart International #87x to the Valley high banks and ran in the top five for most of the 30-lap feature, even battling with current Modified track point leader Brett Hearn side-by-side for several laps. The car’s handling went away slightly after a late race caution which pushed him back to seventh at the finish.

“Our car was really good early in the race,” Gilardi said. “This thing turns great and it takes a different style of driving so I’m learning, but this is the best car I think I’ve ever had.”

His run Saturday night continued a streak of consistency that is probably the best of his career.

“It’s amazing the run we’ve been able to put together,” Gilardi said. “I’ve never been able to be this consistent. That just prove how good a car we have and how hard my team is working. I’m so proud of them.”

The point standings at Lebanon Valley are very close and Paul is in a tight fight for a top 10 position. He currently sits 15th as of Saturday night, but is just 22 points behind eighth place. The next event for the team will be this Saturday at the Valley of Speed. Gates open at 5pm.
